Having to keep her stare down, Ender was receiving the stink eye from the many Bat guards that she passed while leaving Count Darkula's castle. She didn't mind anyway. Still, she couldn't help but wonder what her subjects say or do to her after what she had consulted with Darkula. Who knows what he'll say to the species after that one. They might try to attack her, banish her, tell Celestia or the Elements of Harmony keepers to do something about her.
You would think they would have more respect for a Princess... Ender looked down on the polished floor and saw... "You IDIOT! If you accepted his offer, then without the powers of an alicorn! I would have ESCAPED this prison!"
"Do you take me as a fool, Hyde?" she asked calmly. With a look of flustered-ness, Hyde ran from her view.
Ender now looked forward, trying to avoid the guard's gaze, and the one's of her greatest enemy. She could never find a friend, can she? Besides her parents, no one wanted to talk to her. Only a few of the bat ponies wanted to discuss something with her, and even then, she knew they really didn't like her or her responses.
Only a few more steps, and she would never have to see this place, or the ponies who live here again.
"Hello!" A bat pony who popped out of no where said to her.
Actually, he didn't pop out of no where. He was on the ceiling, sitting upside down. He was wearing a stunning, dark, purple dress coat. He even wore dark grey boots on his hind legs. He looked handsome. Then something clicked.
She recognized this pony as the one who she met before her meeting. SunBite was it? Why did it sound so familiar? Why does he recall them meeting before. They never met, right?
She tried to walk past him, without success.
"Ze polite zing to do right now iz to rezpond viz (with) a hello."
Ender blinked once. He smiled awkwardly.
"I need to get going, farewell, Bat pony," Ender said, trying to sound sophisticated.
"I have a name, you know," he said sweetly.
Ender stopped for a moment, before turning her head slightly and saying, "Farewell, Count SunBite..." When she didn't smile at him, his own smile vanished. Her head turned back to the door and she continued to walk.
"Prinzezz! Vait!" She waited.
"Ender, I vant to zay I'm zorry for vhat happened viz my fazer. He really izn't like zat! I zwear! He didn't mean to hurt you! And... I'm zorry for vat happened before. I didn't mean to ztop you. I vanted to zay hello. Ve haven't zeen each ozer in zenturiez."
Ender didn't want to hurt him by saying he had never seen him before. "I..." But she couldn't lie to him. Maybe, she just reminded him of someone. But then, how would he know her name? Besides being the Princess and all.
"If you don't remember me, it'z okay. It haz been a long time, and you have a lot of dutiez I'm zure. I vaz finding ze perfct time to talk to you again," SunBite said, with a sad smile.
Ender looked down. "I'm sorry."
"It'z okay." SunBite said. But Ender knew it wasn't okay. This one bat pony, who really liked her and who had known her for centuries finally decided to talk to her again, and she could hardly remember his name.
"I alvayz ztart a conversation vith zome jokez, vould you like to hear zome?"
Ender shrugged, she could hear a few right now, it was the least she could do.
"Vell I vould tell you one, but I heard zey vere BAT for you." Oh great, he tells puns.
"My brozer got zick last veek, he had to ztay in bed all day and he vaz juzt coffin zrough ze day."
Ender wanted to leave, but wanted to stay as well.
"Maybe after ziz fiazco, you and I could, hang out."
Ender waited for a few moments for another pun to come out, but SunBite was silent. It grew awkward fast.
"Nice 'jokes'" she said, emphasizing the 'jokes' part. SunBite had a look that just screamed "I'm so stupid! Why did I tell her those lame puns?! BloodMoon was right!". After another minute of averted gazes, SunBite cleared his throat
"Er... my brozer (brother) vanted me to give you ziz, if I zaw you again," SunBite said as he reached for something in his dark coat. What came out, was a necklace. It had a silver chain and dark purple gem encased in a crystal case. Ender took it in her magical aura.
"Um... give him my thanks. It's a... wonderful present," Ender said.
"I vanted to give you zomezing too, it'z not everyday ze Bat Pony Prinzezz comez to your home!" SunBite once again reached into his coat and pulled out something small and shiny. It was a small blue gem.
"My brozer zaid I vaz never good vith giftz..." SunBite began, "But zen again, vhat do you give ze girl vho haz eveyzing?"
Ender, despite a Princess, didn't have everything, this gem for example, she never had one exactly like it.
"It's beautiful, thank you," Ender replied with a warm smile.
SunBite's ears folded down, after turning an embarrassing shade of red, thankfully, his fur was dark enough to hide the blush on his cheeks.
"You're velcome, Prinzezz Ender."
Ender inspected the gem in her aura, it was carved and polished, tiny, and a beautiful shade of royal blue. When she shifted it, she could see her reflection... or rather...
The gem fell with a small CLINK and Ender nearly had a heart attack. "Prinzezz?! Are you alright?" SunBite asked taken off guard by her sudden fear. It took Ender a few moments to respond. "I'm fine..."
"I knew I zhould have got you a bigger gem..." SunBite mumbled.
"What? N-NO! It's fine, it's perfect! I just remembered I needed to go somewhere," Ender said, making up an excuse.
"Oh. Of course, you have a lot of zingz to do. Being a ruler and all."
Ender smiled, but soon faded when she thought about how her ruling affected SunBite's family status.
"For ze record, I zee you az my ruler, not my fazer."
Ender's heart didn't beat, but if did, it would have skipped one. "What?"
SunBite smiled. "It'z true. I may have to rezpect my fazer, but I look up to you. Ever zinze your coronation. You have alvayz been my Prinzezz. And BloodMoon agreez."
Ender smiled like she had never before. Did she really have faithful subjects? Did she acquire friends? Well, she had met a wonderful group of ponies one night. A wonderful group indeed, a lovely green mare whom had shared her blood (and a special moment) with Miss Ender, a pony of mist, true wonder, and power, and a unicorn with a set of mechanical wings, wishing to soar and defend the ones he loves.
"Thank you," she said with love and joy.
"Zank you Prinzezz."
Ender lifted the gem with her hoof, looking at it once more before looking back at SunBite.
"I should really go," Ender said.
"Yez! Vould you like me to zhow you ze door?" SunBite offered.
"I'll be fine, but thank you."
SunBite bit his bottom lip, and his fang pierced his fur. "Um... you know, if you ever have ze time, you, my brozer and I could all go out for a walk or zomezing. I know he vould vant to..."
Ender looked at the necklace and at the gem. She had only seen BloodMoon once, and she would like to get to know her new friends better. "Maybe Count SunBite. Maybe..." a sly smile grew upon her lips, "But don't count on it."
And with that, Ender turned around, flicking her tail and walked outside.

Boom! This is how Ender and SunBite met when they were adults. How did Ender forget the first pony she met when she was in school, that's saved for another time... I am not sorry for the romantic biz, I needed something happy after all of the sad stuff. And the ponies mentioned that Ender was friends with, they belong to
