As much as Icarus didn’t want to be fretted over, he couldn’t deny how nice it felt to be clean again. He wouldn’t have the motivation to keep it up on his own, but it was enjoyable none the less. The conversation, if one could call it that, also managed to keep his mind distracted from his fusses somewhat. He needed to be careful though. He didn’t want to become too fond of another wyngro, in the event that they too disappear.

He watched the nasty looking bruises disappear under the layers of cotton, and could only feel relieved they were out of sight. They like all things were a reminder. Though he found his thoughts dragged away as Baste asked him about bedding preferences. At his hesitance, she let him think about it while they chose and prepared a broth. Nothing complicated, but it was delicious. As they ate, his paws absentmindedly ran over his cheek fur, taking comfort in how soft it was after having been cleaned. He hadn’t caught notice of it, but Baste certainly had and it was difficult not to feel too pleased with some sign that he was feeling some sort of positive emotion.

Eventually, the meal came to an end and Icarus was left with the decision of sharing a bed or getting his own bed. On the one paw, he really didn’t want to bother her with the effort towards it, but on the other paw, she may end up not liking sharing the bed. After much internal debate, he finally came to the conclusion for his own bed. Certainly, things would run more smoothly if they had their own little areas to keep to.

Man, I have really procrastinated this past week. The only two things I really worked on were mostly finished things, but I finally buckled down and got back to work. Now to draw a bunch of body parts. =3=;
