You've gone all obsessive with mews recently.
On that note, I think Nintendo could make a really good plot-based RPG (mayhaps action oriented battle system?) with the elements inherent in the pokemon cannon, yet the closes we get to a "Pokemon epic" remains squarely in the anime franchise. I still remember the opening scenes of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

That explains why they've shafted the Earthbound (Mother) series as far as U.S. releases go. Although, it doesn't explain why they've specifically asked Camelot to do a 3rd Golden Sun game (this is from an interview a website had with the producers at Camelot).
