It was the perfect place to kit, she had decided. Sheltered, safe and quiet. Maybe a little dusty, but they'd run around outside as soon as they found their legs.
And then the fires arrived. As soon as her kits were finding their personalities, glowing lights appeared. They got a little closer every night, and she could see flickering flames, yellow eyes watching patiently from the darkness.
And then the biggest one broke itself from the ceiling, alight with malice and hunger. Her kits ran in a panic, crying. It sent a plume of flame towards the helpless victims.
She was instantly there, shielding them with the power of the forest and with her body.
"Get away from my children!" she hissed with venom.

I love how realistic everything looks, especially Leafeon. But momma Leafeon has a tough battle against the hungry Chandelure. It's a ghost/fire type and has elemental advantage against Leafeon! The baby Eevees are so adorable.

It's not just the picture that astounds me, but the story behind it. This litterarly made my heart skip a beat, and I feel so incredibly bad for the eevees and the leafeon. It's so frustrating that I will never know what happened to them, yet I don't think I want to know in case it's as bad as I feared xD This is just such a dynamic picture, and I can't help but love it to death. I would love it even without your drawing skills of a God, but that just made me love it so much more. Thank you so much for a picture as great as this. It's a definitive favorite of mine, and a definitive watch *-*
