A request from Frost on TLI for her soon to be born filly Vivianna. She wanted something playful and showing an inquisitive personality. I'm actually surprised with how light this turned out considering a lot of hard issues I'm dealing with at the moment. Once again I'm super proud of the color change (seriously please go look at the original stock) and adding in the markings. Manes and tails are still being done by mouse so... eh. Used offsite credits will be on image. I'd love any and all feedback/tips/and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Please view in full size.

You know I'll do a picture for you anytime, love! No promises though, I think I just get lucky sometimes.

This looks lovely, but by any chance did you get the idea from my piece AT : Follow Me ?
If you did, would you be able to add that to your "inspiration" section?

Also, if you're after some feedback I'd be happy to give you some (:

First of all, the blending of the feed could be done a lot better. It's very choppy, and if you look at the background image the plant is growing against the ledge behind the horse, not in front of it, so it's hooves should be touching where it's visible.

The horse also looks very "cut and paste" when you go up close, and could do with some lighting adjustments to fit into the background better, particularly on the hind and front legs that are hitting the ground and the horses shoulder (the one that's been cut out)

I'm not particularly good at lighting myself, but personally I would be trying to remove the harshness of the highlights on the horse, particularly on the rump but also on the neck and shoulder.

Lat but not least, I think the markings could be blended a little better. Theres two ways you can do this, you can either get the clone tool on a low opacity, and go over the edges so the white and the coat colour blend a little better, or when you're selecting the areas on the horse to change the saturation etc. put the "feather" option up to 10 or 20 px, that way it will blend a little better also, but it won't give you any jagged edges.

Hope that helps!

I have had the background stock bookmarked for some time and have been waiting for a good excuse to use it, but I did see your image as I was uploading it to groups and would be happy to put it in if you feel that would be appropriate.

I'm always looking for feedback and I appreciate yours as I am still rather new to doing manipulations. I also tend to prefer my markings a bit cleaner, but I suppose that is just personal opinion.

Ah, no worries x3
Just saw that it was similar, and wondered that it was done soon after mine - but that's fine xD

And fair enough, if you're new then you're doing extremely well (:
I just suggested it as on real horses the edges aren't quite that clean, even on straight markings xD

Oh my God. This is absolutely stunningβ€” I love the coat on the horse and of course waterfalls always get me. So, so good! Love the foggy areas in the upper right side.

Gorgeous!
