This is very beautiful. I like this style a lot! It's brilliant how you use just simple lines and the colour red to create such a wonderful portrait. Her absent gaze leaves the viewer thinking about what she's been up to. And the title to this drawing is also very good because it made me wonder is she blind at this very moment, maybe being used or maybe in a bad relationship or is she just realising how blind she's been and finally thinking about breaking free. In short, I think this is a fantastic drawing as it triggers people's imagination despite - or because of- its simplicity.

Aww, thank you very much! And thank you for your interpretation, it's quite interesting.
I like to read comments like this. Maybe we could give her a happy ending?
I've enjoyed in making this portrait, in this style and I'm thinking about doing more like this.
I'm glad you like it.

Excellent! Is it graphite? ...or pen and pencil?

Looks great I keep switching different tools, pencil, pen, crayons, etc., to learn the different effects. Your pencil drawing is very clean. When I use graphite or charcoal I end up smearing my palm around on the drawing when I move my hand around on it, blaaah....

That's a good thing. Well, the charcoal is really tricky so I prefer pencils.
I put clean paper under my hand and that prevents smudging.

Good idea! ..I'm slowly learning to draw more with my hand off the paper when necessary I've always hated charcoal, but finally I'm starting to appreciate it. The way drawing class taught me to use it sucked, so I hated it, but after practising more on my own I found better ways to work it

It's always better when you practice on your own, you can experiment as much as you want and find what's the best for you. That should I do as well.
