Description A quick dragon tutorial request. I know my requests are closed, but this was something I could do fairly easily and quickly, so I just consider it something that might help some people out.

1- Line of Action
This is very important, and the base foundation of the drawing itself. You have to plan out what pose you would like the dragon to be in, and trust me, it works very well. So if you don't use any of my other methods, consider using a line of action, and you can apply to just about anything you draw. With this I have placed on the line of action three circles. One is the head, the chest, and the rump. This method can allow you to space the neck and stomach to your desired length and position, it is specially helpful for Lung (or "Chinese") style dragons.

2- Arm Type 1
This arm is the kind I use most often. The arm is made up of four circles that can be spaced closely or far apart to lengthen, or shorten the arm you are attempting. At the last circle at the bottom, you draw a triangle about hand size. This part it the "hand" or "paw" of the limb. It can give a great foundation for fingers, though I have no trick for fingers.

3- Arm Type 2
This is a more "human" type arm I used allot in my early days of dragon drawing. I have it here as an example for those who may find this particular way easier as it has less circles.

4- Leg
The thigh of the leg is almost a warped egg shape, if you will. From the rump circle of the dragon, you will draw the warped egg shape flat on top, and bends out slightly on the bottom, wrapping around the rump circle. You may rotate the thigh you have drawn around the rump circle to pose and bend it. Than, you draw the front line of the shin to desired length, draw a smaller circle at the end for the heal or ankle. You than draw a larger triangle from that circle for the (normally) larger back foot.

5- Body
An example of how the method is put to use in a full body dragon. I usually draw the chest larger than the stomach, this one with an angular front, others may round it to look more like a rib cage.

6- Head
An example of the usual heads I draw. I am further expanding and experimenting with heads.

This is just how I go about it. Find what process is best for you, mine won't work for everyone. All of this came about from self learning, and things I picked up along the way. I sketched allot of dragons as a child, and some things rubbed off on me. How I go about it has changed very much over the past years, and will continue to do so.

The first arm type reminds me of those creatures from Riddick.
