Description
Endling delves into the world of color theory and comes out gasping for air once again. This was pure painting into Photoshop, no pencils, no paper, nothing. ._. Completely out of my comfort zone. But in the spirit of trying new things, and adding a new skill to the set, you gotta push yourself around a bit. Tried a lot more splashes of color as opposed to my more muted, blended work.Colors inspired by the art of Takehito Harada, *fayrenpickpocket , =scrotumnose , *RyusukeHamamoto .
Oh also! The pose for Ree was inspired by a fanart I recently received from ~Godly-Effect , seen here: [link] Thanks again! :3 I thought it was a great pose!

I have no words to express how awesome u are !!! this is so friggin great and u re such an expert u can do it from 0 up to make a masterpiece without our friends pencils! and the coloring is so cool!!!! Wish someday i 'll draw as good as u! it looks so real and pretty without lines .

you do a really good job of constructing things purly from colour. it's quite intmidating since you really do feel as though you're flying bline when you launch into something like this but in this case, you're efforts reallty paied off.
there's a real nice slouch to her pose that makes her seem so very human while the look of pursed concentration on her face really gives her charater. it's pretty neat that she's so engrosed in her... DS (? i am so not up to date on the latest gadgets) while there's that utterly hectic, demonic sprawl goinging on right behind her. the luminous effect (i.e. the way the hosts' eyes seem to glow) gives them all the more presence. indeed, there's a flurecent vibe to this, what with the use of light colours and bright red shadow. the two elements, witht he normality of ree create a great sense of contrast.
also, it that a very abstract rex rising up from the shadows?

First off, I LOVE the painterly effect you've achieved! Somehow you've managed to employ both hard -and- soft edges in one balanced composition.
I find that you do a really exceptional job at activating your canvas. Time and time again, my eye is pulled around your deviations by the artwork itself, rather than laying static in the middle of the page. This is credited to the wealth of imagery you present within the piece. Of course, that comes with Ree's package, but your deliberate choices in placement and amount of business in the background.
Speaking of the background, your color choice is great! It gives the sense of hot air rising into cooler air. And I'm really glad the 'amorphous blob' isn't flat, you've got some great overlapping going on. The choice black figures help this effect a lot, especially the bottom left face stuck behind the red lines, and the top left furry... ball thing, which interacts with a purple counterpart. I think those really do a lot in terms of connecting Ree to her space. The other thing that strengthen's that connection is your light source, which gives the purple/red mass behind her the role of shadow (or rather, volcanic eruption shadow).
She's so cute, ah the life of an oblivious gamer girl.
Bonus points for the reflective color on her pants, by the way! Another great integration of foreground and background!
Haha, wow, I just notice that all the creatures behind her look like they're cheering her on, or watching her in amazement as she plays... Awesome... That's the first time I've picked that up and I've been looking at this piece for a month.
And I see Rex up there! That sneaky guy! Kinda makes it seem like he exists because of her, huh? (Or he could have just come along for the ride)
