Concept work for an idea called 'Warp' that came to me a couple of months ago.It's about a shrine maiden (kinda) bat and a big 'ol crow (sort of) who is always by her side. Mostly waiting for her to die.
..well it's slightly more complicated than that, but, there you go.

This definitely has a weird Disney-feel to it. You know, if Disney were on crack.
Seriously though, back in the day kids movies were darker and weren't afraid to harbor serious themes. I keep waiting for Pixar to pick back up that torch, but they haven't as of yet. I wouldn't mind seeing a Disney or Pixar movie made that looked like this.
Is she albino? Or is there a real type of bat that's all white like that? Or is it just a style thing?

Fantastic concepts - the coloring and expressions remind me of the (sort of) deeper cartoons from when I was younger. Lovely moodiness to it all, especially how sinister the crow looks.
