There are a number of effects and ideas that force the uberness in this work to really shine.
The borders caught my eye first. The word "Secrets" using light sparingly truly brings out the first hint of something special. Encased by borders which seemingly glow with the light from the containments below. At first what catches the eye is a combination of lights and webs across the back, or bottom, with various objects placed in proximity to something odd in the center.
And this is where there is a sense of hidden energy, some strange power locked within the image, as a shadow overhangs an otherwise well-lit area.

It reminde me of the island you go to before you get to Terra on Final Fantasy IX. I especially enjoy pieces such as this one. So surreal and magical that it captures at the very grasp of your imagination.

This is a place of secrets, of esoterica, of imagined fantasy. The ornate beauty of the letterbox compels one to observe, but protects that seclusion, and preserves it for one's own private abstractions. It seems the ornate letterbox was placed intuitively, to increase visually the psychological drama within.

This is impressive, the only think I might recommend is some additional detailed work on the top and bottom.. it's impressive as hell as is though.
