Don't worry when it comes to the Tenkaichi Budokai, if you choose a badguy you could pretend that ya reformed him/her, which now is fighting alongside you're heroes.
Take a look at the Fushion Fall game some villians are fighting alongside although not technically reformed...

This is true...though in "Dissidia Final Fantasy" for the PSP, the bad guys from FF 1-10 still retain their evil-ness.
