It's perfect! I love it! You know, 3333's original whistle is under her running board against the firebox on the fireman's side? It's used to warn people if something goes wrong. It's a single-chime hooter from the Pleasant Valley Railroad, where she originally operated. Her current road whistle is a six chime that plays the same notes as the "Open D Major" guitar tuning. Just some interesting knowledge about my railroad's pride and joy!

That is quite fascinating. SP&S 1511 has a Nathan 5 chime whistle.

Also, if we crank up the fire by adding lots of fuel oil, we can get her to crank out a top speed of just over 110MPH We haven't tried going any faster, but presumably, she can go much faster than that...

Be careful, most engineers wouldn't go far past 100 for fear of shaking the engine apart.

She was stable throughout. She was built for both crack express train operation as well as her primary job of hauling very heavy freight.

Cool! What's 1511's top speed?

It reached 119 during her trials running to Connelsville.

We heard a claim from the PVRR that 3333, due to her fuel efficiency, high steaming capabilities, great superheating, as well as her high horsepower, could hypothetically break 127MPH while not pulling any train behind her. We don't know how true it is, but apparently over at Pleasant Valley, they were operating her up to 124 miles an hour, and she didn't seem to notice at all... Perhaps one of your enginemen could try to see how true that claim is, while she's on the SP&S?

We could give it a go, ill have to put a person who knows this route the best, its a mountainous railway. We could get her to 127, but we'd have to be careful (another drawing is coming, i think)

Okay, just remember, she steams best with a roaring fire. She's very fuel efficient, too, so don't worry about putting too much oil on the fire! The oil we give our engine we manufacture ourselves, and it's cheap, dirt cheap. She's a great steamer, but watch the pressure! Her pop valves sometimes stick up and release too much pressure! (Yes, I can sense another one...)

And NS doesn't need to tow it on the mainline.

And we're going to have a Marsh 4-4-2 soon! Oh, and a T1 I guess. And the Prince of Wales.

That marsh 4-4-2 Looks like it would make a fine commuter engine. You mean a Pennsy T-1?

She's being rebuilt at the Bluebell Railway! Yeah, a PRR T1 and an LNER P2.
