Description A modified image of a Brass Model of a Western Maryland 4-8-4. What the front of 1511 would look like like if it where real. I don't think there are enough Number boards on this engine!

BTW, how much longer 'till the speed trial for 3333? My men say that it should be any day now, right? Obviously, the engine needed some new, stronger side rods, but I sent those over, and while you install them, you can do some track maintenance, yeah?

I might also modify this NKP Berk that I have, wouldn't be too different actually.

How would it differ?

To make my S4-a, I'd mostly mess with the smokebox, cab windows, and the tender shell. Oh yeah, and a little Giesl ejector.

It would make a fine model.

There's plenty of people who own models of 765 (well, mine was 763 for some reason), why not.

The best question known to the world: Why not?

And it's DCC and too big for my layout, perfect club loco! Nobody else will have one, of that I am certain.

Create your own decoder (I'm sure there is a way to do it).

If I do sound, I could just edit the C&O Kanawha to have 6 chuffs per revolution.

That would be amazing! The sound it would make!

Enough to drown out that diesel electric "EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEEE" from everyone else's locos. Seriously, why don't they bring more steam locomotives?

Engine97 In reply to Rockyrailroad578 [2015-06-16 01:28:54 +0000 UTC]

Diesels are a bit cheaper, and if it falls out of your hands while taking it off the layout, or during transport, no biggy. Steam is a bit more expensive, though much more good looking (and sounding) people tend to stray away from bringing steam so as to preserve there models as long as they can.

I see. They are more expensive and some are just too nice looking to bring to shows.

Although I am definitely bringing my Belgian G8/BR55 0-8-0, my Bachmann GWR locomotives, and probably my 4-6-2 to clubs though
