The utmost level of discomfort,From which i am growing sickened,
Is of this putrid odour
Omitted from the bowels of the earth,
Penetrating mental mutation
For a pitiful human race.
To say they are evolving would be absurd,
For they are regressing,
Into a species of mindless drones
Inhaling the essence of doom.
Redeemers of the wicked,
Promoters of the susceptible,
Onlookers of rolling tongues,
Permit yourselves this gift;
Free your mind
From persuasions of the norm.

Once again, I can't help but grin when I read your poem. It just seems so refreshing after constantly putting up with our delusion of grandeur and supremacy.
I especially loved the second stanza. It's as if we've relieved ourselves from the benefits of evolution as we continue to spoonfeed our race on our machinations. We can't 'evolve,' socially or otherwise, because our society removes the need.
Great job, Beautifully tragic, raw, and truthful. Keep writing.

Your excellent word choice captures the cynical tone of this piece. My only complaint is that 'Inhaling the essence of doom.' the word doom is so cliche, and I think you could replace it with something better (:
