I barely have stepped into the world of 3d trying to get my feet wet with Cinema 4D or Zbrush... Still I'm completely lost in both haha.

Wow not bad at all! Very cool. SOmething for the future though, you can save a lot of time by using displacement maps, normal maps, or bump maps instead of hard modeling. Of course I have no idea your experience level so you may be thinking I should go away haha. I would like to know though. Where did you use polys and where did you use NURBS if at all? Great work again! Will you be posting a textured version later?

Thanks
I didn't use much NURBS at all in this piece, The only time I can remember was for one sphere that I forgot to increase the number of sides on
And I'll give displacement maps, bump and normal maps a try
Thanks

Thats a funky design, in a good way. Nicely realised certainly, but as I look at the support struts I can't help feeling like it would tear itself apart functionally. Love all the little details though.

lol xD
Thanks
It would totally tear itself apart if it was really built
I had a lot of fun making it though

try cutting down on the poly count first, it'll help when it comes to the dreaded task we all call: UVing
