I tried with 3D stuff once, but it was too strange for me XD

what O.o , something seriously messed with the modelling then or u have caustics and other stuff u dont need in the render , thts a redicoulously long render time more something extremely simple ,
for example , i have a scene , 870 000 faces , MR ,Ray Tracing ,Depth Of Field , 3d Motion Blur, Caustics , Final Gather , 4 separate Dynamic ( Smoke, Cloud , Exhaust , and a Fluid Fire ) , and the render time is 4 minutes a Frame.

But are you using VRay with global illumination?
I think that might be causing the high render time.
After all, I did set it on the highest render quality settings.

using MR ( Mental Ray ) , they are very similar.
The Render does look awesome , actually insanely awesome. We just get hammer'd at college if we are wasting resources, just imagine a 4 sec ( 25fps ) render of this .

Yea MR and VRay are very similar
I'll try cut down on some unneeded polys, etc.
Thanks man

Just checked for you it is currently 135 670 Polys
Never realized it was so much

lol yea, i got a scene that's hovering on 80 000 at the moment and it takes about a half hour to render. lol
godda watch those polys, try a clean up, get rid of all unnecessary subdivisions and polys
start with the fan blades. i resken u could reduse the to about 2 polys a peace without much change to the look.
and the smaller wires, you could half the poly count on them without much trouble ether...
sry. i get like that some times

Muuuch better render than last time. Are you using SubD's? If so, you might want to reapply to the body. One of the rings looks smooth but comes to a flat polygonal shape as it creates the ring around the body.
I'm liking what you have so far! Putting you on my watch list!

Thanks for the watch too!
