Submitting this before I go to school today so I won't for get it for later P:Colouring in practice, different technique. I kinda like it, what do you think?
Too bad my old sketches of Zim is always my colouring-in vicitim when I try something new. Green+Boot Shine+Hair blah.. he's a good one though, he's got contrasting colours so I differentiate the differ ways things need to be coloured.
No motivation to draw this week, just colour. Lots of stuff happens and blah blah.. I don't even particularly like this drawing. It's kinda WTFish.

Oh my god. I cannot even...DESCRIBE how amazing this looks. Jeeezus this looks so POLISHED! I can't believe you don't like it, what aspect of it don't you like?
This is such an awesome stance of Zim. Damn, he looks like he's PLOTTING! Oh my goodness the shirt looks like soft fabric. Like someone said, they'd want to touch it, well so would I. Though It's not too realistic, it's enough to look cartoony without overdoing it to ruin the effect so I say this is PERFECT!
I really love the way the black on him shines, the gloves and the boots. I also like how the pants were lighted, his pants look soft like his shirt.
One thing I really like is that you give him a black undershirt under his uniform. Now I know I've seen him with one in one of the episodes when his shirt was torn before. This makes him look really suave and well put together.
I don't see anything wrong with this. I just love everything about this picture.

Haha, that was the whole reason why I've given him the black undershirt - because of that episode. I'm I told you that once. Hehe, I looked too deeply into it.
I'm glad you do though. It to me doesn't speak to me as much, but maybe because it was old and I was having a bad week for drawing that I am so down about it, who knows

I think so too. The only different I think is instead of highlighting with pure white, I used light blue. It's the first I've used it before, so at least I know how to get that effect now

I used a tool in a program that controls it from being soft and sharp strokes, depending on pressure. When you see how some parts are shaded, some of it is soft shading and some of it is sharp.. I hope that made sense XD

Oh it's not unzipped, it's just how I make the uniform look xD I translate it into a sort of jacket thing, where he wears a black turtleneck thingy underneith. As for the hands, blah P: I don't know what I was thinking when I drew him, I just drew him that way at the time. I was practicing foreshortening I think
