...to draw the original characters of Invader Zim. Doing Invader Zim.. stuff! No funny twists!You're all too enthused by your fan-stories and fan characters!
Why not reminisce your early days of drawing Irken symbols in your school books and little Zim Vs. Dib scenerios?!I DARE YOU.
(Would be cool to see all the sub-styles of drawing in IZ style. It's fun to tell the difference between different fan-artists and how they draw the IZ style itself. Head shape is the big one. Compare people like *Zimadonna , =DeviantIrk , =YourDark3stNightmar3 , =0min0us or ~Invadertaj for example.)
Top two were digital editings, bottom two are purely traditional. Really old doodles I haven't submitted in ages, mind you. I haven't been slacking with BS, I tell ya! Yes, I drew 3 Zims and one Dib, for obvious reasons. Dib always looks weird with me =[ I find you're either a Dib person or a Zim one. Head shapes, eh.

lol i felt like drawing them as creepers. but zim would so totally do that.
i think im both of a zim and a dib person. but dib is more fun to draw cause hes a massive nerd.
when i draw the IZ chars though, i tend to take into consideration that they all have their distinct personalities and the way they hold themselves.

Oh, that's just a theory xD A lot of people have strengths on either side though, depending on who they like more I think. Like if they like Dib more, they'd draw him more and thus have the habit of drawing heads in a way that's a lot like his, just by habit. The same goes the other way round with Zim, which was what I fell for P:

lol, i used to ssuuuck at drawing Dibs head. but i then learned its a lot like one part circle, one part square. (i actually just used this XD [link] )
i notice lots of people like zim. but who can resist? his boxy head is so much easier to draw. i find his head so easy probably because i see things as boxes rather then ovals and circles like most people.

Man... I had some Zim stuff drawn on my comp before this one that died. I gave up on it since it was so hard to draw the scene in my head. Trust me, I didn't forget my roots, but sometimes I need inspiration to do it through talking, RP, or re-watching the series.

Oh most definitely, although I draw other things than pure-IZ now, I still have it remembered in my mind too. But hey, I know what you mean - this inspiration only hit when I recalled a conversation I had with someone once about how people's IZ style varied a lot. I thought maybe I'd so some sort of mural one day of everyone's drawings, possibly in silhouette, just to see show how our styles vary

I feel challenged 
Anyway, I do like how you drew these guys owo It feels very close to the original style, yet it also has strong ties to your own. As you mentioned, head shape (as well as they way you shaded them) is a strong factor in the various IZ-styles, which is probably why I can still see your style in this otherwise very IZish style.

Yeah XD It's really my utmost effort to make it as close to the show as I can without watching an episode, but I just can't unshake off those old habits from drawing different ways. It's not impossible to shake it all off mind you, but I've got a few more things to do before sitting through another 12 hour marathon of IZ XP)
