Description
This drawing is quite old. I finished it today while I was taking a break from B-S. It was inspired by a documentary on the History Channel about the history of action comics.I saw some terrific, dynamic art in it and right on wanted to try my own. I was surprised I got this right on the first go!
I had no idea what to do for a background. Darn it though, I figured this would be most suiting. Though I feel that I must really credit ~Yeakuaf because since I've kept the drawings I was given in trades and requests in my computer's screensaver, I've been seeing them a lot on-screen lately, I think that the idea of the focal background subconsciously came from the drawing of Vaika she drew for me. It's the only drawing I can remember to have that effect in it.
This drawing was more for the pose, rather than the background or story for it. I like the arms and the legs the most, though it looks a bit unnatural. But this scene is unnatural anyway. I imagine her, in a surreal way, to be traveling through Time.. or Space. What's the difference anyway?

I love this pose. I absolutely LOVE this pose! Someone said it looked like she was late for a train - when I first saw this, I couldn't help but think she was running on top of a train. XD

Poses are always super important, so it's good you're trying new things!
Hahaha yeah. It would be awkward, that's for sure, but cartoons pull it off and so do loads of movies. And so do you, for that matter! And I mean, I can totally see her on some sort of epic adventure, running on top of a train as dramatic music plays in the background.

I think my favourite thing about this is that shadow. WHY? I don't know, honestly. But it works so well with the picture and is subtly there just being awesome.
It's so shiny and action-y--I love it.

I love the awesomely cool dynamic pose here. I seriously love the outfit too. It looks like she's trying to look at her watch. I wonder what she's late too.

Hehe, a watch eh? I've gotten a couple of different ideas for what's going on, nothing about what she may be looking at yet though! This was such a thoughtless and pointless drawing that I suppose anyone could suppose anything.

Hehe, it was mainly filters that did the background, I just needed to work out how to use the filters, effectively.

The background helped the picture to make it look like V-19 was running.
I think you put the shading on the arm bracers in the wrong spot though. Isn't the light coming from the front right? And I think her shadow should be slightly more to the left too.

The blade on her left arm is pointing inwards, therefore there is more light landing on the top part of the blade than the bottom. The other blade, on her right arm, outstretched, is open and picking up more light. But you're right about the floor shadow. Thanks for pointing that out! I seem to be losing my touch here P:

I can practically see them flying through somewhere right now at amazing speeds. You really captured the "motion" well. (In quotes cuz its not really moving XD)

Yeah, it's very static though it suggests movement, even if there actually isn't any. It's very complicated so "motion" would probably the best, if not the only way to call it
