This is amazing!! It really shows how Rookie must have felt being all alone in that city.
ODST was so different from the other Halo games. Unlike Chief, Rookie was scared, and unsure of himself, but he still made through.Β To me, that is true bravery and you drawing screams all of that!
*Hugs Rookie*

Thank you, and I suppose it's cause i don't post it around much, when I first made it I put it on b.net and hbo, and that's it.

That's weird, since I always thought I'd know about all good Halo/ODST art there is out there. Finding yours proves me wrong!
I've suggested your drawing to a few groups. A piece this good really needs more attention from the crowd!

lol don't give up, being able to shade with a mechanical pencil is nothing, a simple skill. skills are really easy to improve, just like in rpg's - you just do it, draw whatever, and it steadily goes up. Work ethic/determination/creativity/intelligence/functional brain cells are a lot more important, and a lot harder to train, and i only have two of those (and partially..)

I really love this piece, it really stands out in your gallery and prompted me to click on it and comment. What media did you use?? pencil?? did you use charcoal as well? great job on composition as well and movement, and emotion.

as i said in one of the comments amongst the wall of text, Rain is entirely in HB mechanical pencil, with a bit of white gel in the drops. And thank you for the feedback.

I am hearing it. on youtube.
This is beutifully done. shading, lighting, and perspective....I love it. I also love the fact that this is hand drawn. I always say that true artists draw by hand without the aid of computers. computers make it so anyone can "draw". Man I really need to do at least one picture this good. I can do it, I'm just lazy. lol
with the soldier holding his hand out. it says so much to me for reason.

yeah, it's a dude from the new halo game. and the contrast, well the dude has really good contrast i think, and the city is just supposed to be dark and lifeless, but yeah i guess i could have done it better, i kinda rushed it

Very nice job, good shading an' all! Does this have something to do with Halo? I don't really play games, so I don't know, but I'm just guessing-
It could use some stronger contrast and it would be better...
