  Apatite grabbed her talons suddenly and had a smile on her face when Frostbite looked up, confused.
    “You have NO idea how much I’ve wanted to meet you. I didn’t even think you were supposed to talk to us! Something about your animus dad not wanting you to be influenced?” Apatite’s tone shifted from suspicious to interested before Frostbite could comprehend Apatite was the same dragon.
    “Do they really say things like that?” Frostbite asked slowly. “I didn’t realize they didn’t want me to talk to other dragonets that much....”
    Apatite noticed Frostbite wilting and shook her talons. “No, no, I’m exaggerating. I thought everything my mom and your parents did was all a big discussion between all of you. Honestly, I thought you were too stuck up to want to talk to any of us. But I’m delightfully surprised!”
    Wincing, Frostbite gave a fake smile. “I’m glad I changed your mind.” She turned her head and glanced back at the castle, which seemed so much smaller from where they were.
    Apatite noticed her expression and squeezed her talons. “No wait! Listen, uhhhh, you said you haven’t had one of these tests? If you promise not to magic up mine, I could tell you what I’m supposed to be doing!”
    Frostbite looked at her and finally got a chance to see her face in the moonlight. She was much bluer than herself. And her mane was much longer, like a royal dragon’s. She still had dull horns and a rounder muzzle. She looked down at her talons in Apatite’s, and pulled her own away. “I’d appreciate that.” She added a bit more jokingly, “If you don’t intend in calling me a snob again, of course.”
    The Princess folded her wings and nodded enthusiastically.

im trying to work on a Proper fanfic about frostbite and all that stuff leading up to her enchanting the moon orb tree. tui's been extremely neglectful of such an important~ aspect of icewing culture that she put so much emphasis on so its about time someone started thinking about those animus dragons.

(fsdkhfsdf apatite is a princess i made up! she's a direct heir to the throne and fhsdgsd i really like her she's good. she also might end up being frostbite's girlfriend but ykn ow~)

i might post more art i think of for this fanfic! :0c i wanna write more before sharing entire sections of it, but i hope its interesting so far!
