Okay, this is me we're talking about, you guys all knew that any submission to =SenshiStock 's contest would be myu, right? Okay. So no complaints about Lead Crow's colors being off.

Here's my reference, BTW: OMG!ADO

I'm quite happy with how this came out. Her head seems like it might have come out a little small (which seemed the opposite to my sketch...odd), but other than that, it's hot.

Originally I was going to do a more fun and happy playful with Venus playing footsie with her chain, but Venus wasn't working the pose very well. So it became Lead Crow doing a whole, "I'll show you how to PLAY" thing...with a whip. So play at your own risk. C'mon, I'm doing a villain--probably the only animamate who could pull of a "playful" image is Iron Mouse.

I tried a lot of new things on this. Since this is traditional, getting all my myu textures was a lot more difficult. So what I did was I used whiteout on the back of the drawing and colored over it where it was supposed to be sequin-y (the wings, the collar and boots). I also did ink on vellum, different for me, and it took a lot of patience to do the lineart and make sure it didn't smear.

The advantage of using vellum is that it's transparent. I decided to go multimedia; I used marker on the back of the image and colored pencil on the front. Maybe when I get back home I can show what the image looks like on the back. I also used some gold leaf on the bracelets and tiara; the shiny details are where the gold leaf was on the front

I also didn't copy the pose exactly; I lifted the legs up a little higher. The pose is from [link] while I'm at it. I made it work for what I needed to do though.
