This picture is very good (Incubus not so much, though). I definitely couldn't do it, but then again I'm a musician.

Uh. that link didn't work right. Also, this was my pop group (when I say pop group, I mean rock music). I'm trying to do more extended composition now - like psychedelic goth spaghetti western dub reggae. If that makes any sense at all. Here you go.

6- & 12-string electric & acoustic guitars, bass (guitar and upright), banjo, mandolin, dobro (ok... everything in the guitar family except pedal steel), the piano family, drums and miscellaneous percussion, harmonica, melodica, some random toy instruments (xylophones and such), the human voice. It's less impressive than it sounds - I'm primarily a writer/producer/singer/guitarist. Anything besides guitar and bass I'm pretty mediocre at. I'm working on clarinet, but not good at it yet. Next after that is trumpet. Would like to get a cello, but I want to learn the 2 instruments I have lying around before buying any more. I have some songs at [link] They were made on a pretty low budget, so they didn't come off quite as well as I'd hoped, but are still pleasant enough I think. Hopefully I'm going to have my own studio within the year. Cross fingers.

You have an amazing talent for patterns. It is really amazing, I like how close to symmetrical it is. That must be difficult in such a massive pattern.

It was a little difficult, but fun
i've been critiqued, and have been told that I was subconsciously anal haha, so that works for me.

Nice work, enky! Keep it up and I'll check back to see the rest of your gallery. Have you tried drawing on bristol board yet? It is stiff and smooth and accepts pens very nicely. Susan

Do you have an ACMoore art supply store, or a Michael's in your town? You can buy a pad of bristol board (it's actually just a stiff paper, kind of like a heavy poster board but not as slick and wobbly). You can get a pad of 9X12 or 14X17...it's made by Strathmore and it's actually called Bristol Vellum. I like to tape it onto a drawing board for support and so that it's centered up. Scotch and 3M both make a "painter's tape" now for people who are painting their walls to mask the floorboards and door frames, and the tape is less sticky than standard masking tape so it doesn't leave a sticky edge when you peel it away from the paper you are drawing on. Give it a try, and let me know how you like it. Susan

Do let me know how you like the Strathmore paper...it just accepts the pens so well and doesn't do any bleeding. It's also great with Prismacolour pencils or opaque watercolour as long as you work it with a dry brush technique (too much water=bad). Let me know! susan
