I'm really happy that Team Ninja is doing SOMETHING with the Ninja Gaiden franchise.
Its cool to see that they are porting all three games to all major platforms including Steam.
Though I've got to say that I'm sad they didn't do anything to improve the games. They kind of just ported them as they were.
I was hoping that they would add the new content from Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on the Vita and that they would fix any flaws they had with the original sigma games.
The biggest one would be to add back dismemberment and blood back to Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
I also hope they iron out all the loading glitches Sigma 1 and 2 had.

Anyway back to my actual render lol.
I really did love the new cover for the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection but I hated how low resolution it was.
I decided to remake it myself but in the process I kept making changes to make it something a bit newer instead of an exact copy.

Instead of the Ninja Gaiden 3 model I chose to use my port of Ryu from DOA6 in his new Falcon costume.
Since the original render of Ryu had him with some battle damage I went back and extracted the "damage" textures from DOA6 to give this render some grit.
Once I had the textures done and placed on the model I posed him in XNALara.
I then took .obj and used 3DSMax to render him at 8K resolution. It has been quite some time since I used 3DSMax so I had to re-learn everything again.
It took hours to understand how the program works again. Finally I got the textures and lighting the way I wanted and did about six 8K renders until I finally got what I needed. I took that render to photoshop and started building the poster. I ended up using the background from the official website and also the logo.
At the end I took the the whole poster and added the finishing touches by hand in ClipStudio Pro. Essentially drawing out the small details I needed.

UPDATE:
Made new renders of the Rival characters from the 3 Ninja Gaiden Games
