Description So, I was basically forced to clean out my room and I found something that I haven't touched since seventh grade.
The reason I started reading was because of my fourth grade teacher. He was so nice to his students and was always soft on everybody. I had moved into the new house at the time of December, and when January hit and school was back in session, I was really nervous to be starting a new class, but he told me to take te day off so my dad took me home for the rest of the day. Later on during the year, the teacher had noticed I couldn't read well and decided to help me with it. He tried to get me to read so many chapter books but I never got into them. He started me on the Pendragon series (which I did read later but never finish, I stopped after book 7) and then tried Harry Potter. Neither worked for me. One day, he got a copy of Warriors: Firestars Quest and he told me to read it and see if I liked it... It was the first chapter book I read all the way through, and I quite heavily enjoyed it. I went to return it to him when I finished, maybe a week after, and he asked me if I enjoyed the book. I said yes and he told me to keep it.
Around two years later, that teacher died in a car accident after his vehicle tumbled halfway down a steep slope and hit a tree from the top of his car, slamming in the top. I'm sure if it wasn't for that tree, he would be alive today.
I didn't find that book until I cleaned out my closet and I'm so glad to have found it.
I have him to thank for so much too, without his pushing to get me to read, I don't think any of my stories would exist today.
Especially my warriors series.
And I feel that without that, I wouldn't have the friends I have now. I wouldn't have met a special somebody and all my friends here I would never have met because I would never have associated with the Warriors franchise or cats in general...
I have my fourth grade teacher to thank for that...

That's amazing, and beautiful. And heartbreaking that he died, because it's hard to find people pure of heart like that.

Yeah, he was amazing and I wish I was able to know why he was. But some secrets are best left buried.
I'm glad to had met all the people I know now because of him.
