Lavender is an odd woman. Somewhere on the autism spectrum, her social skills are lacking and her particular hyper fixation in cybernetics. As a child she never fit in with the other kids because of her natural predisposition to avoid social interaction. Not all people on the autism spectrum have this issue, but her love of technology gave her an escape to fixate on. She actually doesn't mind social interaction, so long as it is through a computer screen. The distance makes her more comfortable since she can moderate her level of engagement as her mood changes.

In her adulthood Lavender became a bit of a recluse and started work as a systems analyst for HectorCorp before being disillusioned by the corporate world after too many "This could have been an email!" meetings. She now works as a freelance computer penetration and security consultant with a bit of hacktavism as a side project.
