Amazing! I loved this book when I first read it over 6 years ago, and I still love it. I like your representation of what a changeling would look like. Congrats to the DD, its well earned!

This is the coolest Tithe-drawing I have ever seen. Actually, no, its one of the coolest drawings.
I love how the two Kaye's look so different, and yet so alike.

This is beautiful.
And it seems extremely familiar.
Is this perchance inspired by a book?

I did something similar for my graphic design class when I was in high school (of course mine wasn't as super badass as yours is!)
This is gorgeous!

YES YES YES! This is perfect, not a cartoony, shallow fan art. It makes its own story. I love seeing other artists' visions of books and you did a wonderful job.

I always loved how Holly Black interpreted the world of fae, especially the darker parts. I love the tones you chose and the type of pixie you chose to show her as, instead of something all beautiful (she is really pretty though, but not in that glamorous way fae are shown as all the time). & I love the clover and the way you took something so small but important and seemed to base your color pallet off of the little weed.
Congrats on your DD & for just creating such a beautiful illustration.

Thank you! It means a lot to hear from people who like the books. I wanted her to be a beautiful pixie but not beautiful in the way humans may percieve it. Sometimes she is described int he book as looking a bit scary with a smile that is a bit too wide and with those fingers who bend in odd ways!

YES! That was exactly my point, I am more a fan of the 'scary' pixie/fae than those like Tinkerbell. They are nature spirits, after all. I would expect them to resemble bent branches, and even the flower ones (to me) would be more like bulbs...or something.
I think that's a whole other reason why your illustrations are so good, you obviously put so much thought into your work.

I have some more creepy faeries around my gallery! I love to imagine all kinds of faeries with different traits depending on where they are from and what they do. I had loadsof fun drawing my Mildew faerie who lives off of bread crumbles and dust.

Yes! ^.^ Froud amongst many others served as great inspiration for this project. I was also lookng at the swedish illustrator John Bauer and another favorite of mien Egon Schiele.

Ah, I see that, too! But, of course, you have your own style as well. I really like how you took the fairy concepts and made them so dark and yet still fantastical. I have no idea what the story you were referencing is, but it has a great narrative feel, as well.

Such a beautiful portrayal of Kaye's discovery of her true form.
I really like how you used muted tones to create a otherworldly air
