Description
The more 'traditional' angle of "Eros and Psyche" as in seen in the Louvre...its breathtaking when you see it in real life. Image taken from our most previous visit to Paris (Louvre) and Versailles.Related content

Yes, I agree - there are something in classic sculpture which cannot be transmitted via photo, we have to watch them in real life only. I've understood it when I've seen Venus of Tauria [link] in the Hermitage [museum in Saint-Petersburg]. When I was a teen [30 years ago] and studied an art of drawing, I tried to draw this statue, by photos and sketches. Later I've seen it in reality. Damn. If you are standing in 2 meters of this piece, you can feel real WARM of Aphrodite's thighs! In spite of old eroded marble! In spite of general style of this statue - it's so schematic, no naturalism! like modern abstract art pieces! But, anyway...
Thank you, your photo is a reason to visit Louvre at any cost

I wish I would have gone to the Louvre.
A few years ago some friends and me were in Paris. We went to the Louvre, but it was so busy (there was a line from here to Tokio )
We discited to not go.
These pictures make me wish that I did went in

All I can say is get there early!!! We've been there (Louvre) twice and each time, we've been there no later than 815ish and have always beaten the lines...cause come noon time, its a mad house...and just buy your tickets at the machine, saves you time too!
