Description
The feedback for the lockets I made was so amazing, I decided to make tutorial. The chain was a random find at an antique store.Any questions? Feel free to ask!

Cameo bases on Etsy
UPDATE: This tutorial is pretty old, and I've changed significantly how the lockets are made, but the process for making the hair shapes still is the same, the biggest difference is that now I use transparent thread and make the hair details in a separate piece of paper, add tons of hairspray, cut out the threads and glue the hair details on the final lockets. It looks much cleaner. Process post for the new version of the lockets:Β tmblr.co/ZYBvzm1W-d0uI

These are really awesome! Thnks for the tutorial! I haven't read so far into kuroshitsuji, but I had no idea the lockets had hair in it! Very precise and beautiful job! Thnks again *_*

No problem! The world needs more Undertakers :3. They do mention they have have a bit later in the manga, but I did a hell lot of research on Victorian mourning customs, and that's how I found out those were mourning lockets, and they usually contained hair.Β

That's a hell of a job for a cosplay! >O< I really admire people that go that far for a perfect cosplay! And the result came just as nice! Amazing job, really *-*

Thank you >u<. It's really fascinating to see where the authors get their ideas for the characters. The cookies, the clothes and even the crazy personality are all inspired by actual facts and rituals of that era. Yana Toboso is really amazing.
I'm actually not fully satisfied with these, so I will be remaking them soon. I want them to be exactly like in the manga *^*)9

I need to catch up with Kuroshitsuji, I'll pay close attention to the details as well *-* And I can't wait to see the next results! Good luck with them!

This helped a lot and I was just wondering how did you do the scars?

Glad to help!Β
This tutorial really helped a lotΒ fav.me/d31ak86 but to get a proper shape that really adapted to my face (because the first scar I did turned out to be really uncomfortable, pulling at my lower eyelid and not sticking in some places like the nostrils) I put painter's tape (the blue masking tape) on my face where the scar should go through and then drew with a pen the shape the scar should follow, and distribute evenly the 'stitches' part of the scar, then VERY carefully removed the tape and taped it to the back of a transparent tupperware lid, and then worked the latex part on the other side of the lid, so I could still see what I drew on the painter's tape, but not working directly on top of it. For the neck I just measured how long it needed to be and did it like the tutorial. The scar that goes on the finger I do not recommend doing it with this tutorial because you will end up extremely frustrated since somehow it refuses to stay glued to the fingers, so I would recommend either drawing it on with makeup or working it as a ring. I've tried both methods and I like the ring one better, I made it out of worbla scraps and then covered it in latex so it would look the same as the other scars.Β

It was a lucky random find at an antique store. Try looking in jewelry or craft stores, they usually have pretty good stuff.
