my gosh! i never thought of them as a couple! that was the first video game i ever really played and new the story behind it (the first one) when i was like eight or ten...or something. and now on a random search i find you and being the fan girl i am rekindled my love for that game and dax (i always liked him the best, i thought he was so cute^^) and brought another pairing to my overwhelming list of favorites now! i'm in the proses of reading just another mission, that you've made many a link to after your fan arts and plan on reading more of her work. it's so good! dax is just.... ^///^<3333333333333

For some reason, this reminds me of that scene in Aladdin where Jasmine is pretending to be interested in Aladdin, just before she pushes him offa that balcony of hers. It's something about Daxter's face. (The one with the orange hair, right?)

Now it has been added to my list and now when I see pics of Jak and The former KA chick I get this weird shiver that goes down my back like OMG, WRONG, when for most people it is the other way around... because it's not immediately obvious from the title that there's going to be off-model sanitized boysex afoot? Clicking on something as ambiguously titled as "ffak after thought" (not everyone reads Demyrie... my first assumption was that this would have something to do with Final Fantasy from the "ff" bit) and being unpleasantly surprised can hardly be seen as intentionally seeking to be offended.
This is why anymore it's a crapshoot looking at anything on my watchlist: I want to see art from super-talented people like yourself, but when I click on a link and am presented with Jak and an ugly woman posing as Daxter tonsil-wrestling, it's like getting poked in the eye. Your art and that of other talented-but-also-yaoi-fans is like that one nursery rhyme for us canon nazis: when it's good, it's very very good, but when it's bad, it's horrid.

They just look like they know each other SO well here--the exact kind of intimacy I'm such a sucker for. In its own way this is as lovely a moment as what came just before it.

lol! dude that made me laugh so much! it's strange what we find normal now isn't it? but yeh you're so right! i'm not up to explaining myself whenever i get one of those comments, i don't know why they bother looking if it offends they so. but i stand by it, and i try to put that closeness that they have across.
it just makes alot of sense to me, again, someone who played the games and actually watched the plot unfold and just think that there IS no one out there for each other but themselves, they have other 'intrests' but it's never constant or as involved as they are with each other.
