Description
this is an illustration done for my boyfriend's pub the Jekyll and Hyde. I love that place, and now it's all his to do with what he wants, and he has many MANY ideas to make it even greater than it was before.so I'm doing a couple of Jekyll and Hyde pictures for the wall.
this is in mixed media; it's coffee and ink stained paper. drawn over in biro, watercolour and pen.
mixed media indeed. it's so great to work on already tempered paper, please try it!

Oh, my god. Seriously Eno, this is brilliant! I can't think of a single thing I don't like about this picture. Not a single one. The flecks on the fire and the shadowing and Hyde coming out of the shadows....just...Wow!
And it's made with one of my favorite beverages, too.

The coffee and ink stain really adds to the effect of the drawing. The process sounds really fun, I'll have to try it sometime.
The shading is great, is is the monster coming out of the shadow. It really makes me think of Jekyll and Hyde. Good work!

Are you placing the originals on the wall, or making digital prints so it can be reproduced.
It would be cool to see your art for a lenticular picture as well. That's one of those "holograms" that can look 3D or change when you view it from different angles. Wiki: [link] Sample: [link] I am guessing to make them one-of-a-kind it might cost a lot. But somewhere on the web I saw an example where someone made one themselves. You could make a portrait of the good doctor that turns into Mr. Hyde. Of course this could also be done with a cheap digital picture frame with a nice dissolve feature.

you're just full of ideas aren't you? that sounds fun, but it would deviate from the idea that it's old and traditional, so while it would be cool for other peices I don't think it would really suit this particular picture. thanks though!
and it's part of the Errie pub chain, so yes, it's part of them. cool, I didn't know they had on in NY.

yeh, you know what they DON'T have a website. I'm gonna have to badger them about that. yeh, it's a horror themed pub, the toilets are behind bookshelves even.
