Description Halo 3 Multiplayer Revision

I'm pretty certain that everyone knows how to survive Halo's Multiplayer but it does not hurt to look over them.  I would recommend every halo player to read this however this is four pages long, there about 1,238 words.

Assault Rifle/Battle Rifle/Carbine -   The assault rifle is a preset weapon for all multiplayer modes unless modified.  It's pure and simple, automated fire.  I like to fire in short bursts if I am far away from my targets so not to waste precious bullets and try to remember to reload if possible and only hold down the trigger when I'm in range.  Also in campaign, this works exceedingly well against Grunts and unarmored Brutes because the bullets are hitting flesh.

One of my favorite long-range weapon but the strategy here is almost the same as the assault rifle; shoot at long distances with the scope and I have heard that you can combine a overcharged Plasma Pistol shot than switch over to the Battle Rifle, aim for head though I've never tried it before.

Than there's the Carbine, which can be fired more rapidly than the battle rifle and just as powerful.  You should aim for the head and use scope whenever possible to get the best shot.

Magnum Pistol- It is not a powerhouse by itself, but I find it to be just as precise as the Sniper Rifle when aiming for the head which I would think every halo player would go for.  If you can find another pistol, than it is obvious to dual wield it.  From there you could shoot the left pistol then the right or both at the same time.  That last option would cause more damage.  If you cannot find another pistol, than dual-wield an automatic like an SMG, Spiker, Plasma Pistol/Rifle or Mauler.  For me the Plasma Rifle is the best way to get around the target's shield and use the pistol (if there is any ammo left in it) to finish the job and remember to go for the head!  Another good combo, is the Mauler/Magnum for those that love close-range combat (I favor long-range so to avoid a grenade kill and to slightly throw the target's aim off, plus I have more room to fall back when my shields fall).

SMG-  There are the most powerful weapons in any game mode, the only drawback is that once you get these sons of bitches hot, they'll start to 'walk' (your aim will go up as you firing).  There are two ways to keep them steady:  Fire short bursts and adjust the right stick to fix aim or in long bursts whilst adjusting your aim (usually your targets will be moving around so I would think that last one will be your best bet all the time).  I also like the plasma rifle/pistol/SMG combo or the Mauler/SMG combo when up-close.

Sniper Rifle- Pretty simple:  aim for head pull trigger.  One way to get that headshot medal is to walk up to target with reticule on head then pull trigger (works some of time for me).  Also, there are some parts of ground where if you shoot, it will ricochet.  I accidently found this out on High Ground and won the game.  I'm not really sure if you can do the same with the Beam Rifle.  I find that it is harder pull a head off with it and it is a lot like the plasma weapons, it will overheat after two immediate shots.

Rocket Launcher- A one hit kill weapon unless they have overshield.  Just make sure you have the target in sight before firing.  You don't want to kill just yourself unless you know you're in a position where you can take one or more targets out!  I wish I had some strategy for the Fuel Rod Gun but I cannot get that to show up in Multiplayer mode but it will show up in Forge mode (Does anyone else have this problem?)

Shotgun- Do I really need to type anything about this?  (One time I killed my target on Last Resort where those 'fan-blades' are at and somehow committed suicide with this weapon, anyone experience this?)

Needler- Fully automatic and extremely deadly at all ranges.  I have informed that moving far to left or right when you are being shot at with this weapon to avoid the culminating needles.  A single magazine quickly depletes and while it does not take too long to reload, time is valuable in every battle, which by the time you finished reloading another opponent may ambush and kill your attacker and kill you as well.  That is why you should fire in short bursts when engaged a single target or if you have a clean shot.

Plasma Rifle/Pistol- Both ideal for when facing an overshield target.  The Plasma pistol should obliterate some their overshield minutes after they pick it up.  If you see a target pick one up its pretty much over for you but still you should at least fight for you life.  After their shields disperse, you might want to beat them down or switch weapons because it would take forever to just kill them with short/charged burst or use grenades.  As explained earlier, the Plasma rifle is the best way to take normal shields down than switch weapons to finish the job or keep shooting.  Works best when dual-wielding a single SMG.  A good way to kill an opponent is to hold both triggers down or if hold down the Plasma rifle trigger, fire the SMG in short bursts, though I doubt people would remember that (even I can't remember to that)

Gravity Hammer- You can beat down one or more targets n front of you or send them flying off the map.  The only annoyance here is that when you are switching over to the weapon the animation takes forever when engaged with target.  I find the shotgun is faster than the hammer so watch out.  Unlike the energy sword, every time you swing it you use energy.

Energy Sword- Usually a fatal lunge attack can kill an opponent unless they can kill before or during the animation.  When fighting another opponent with the same weapon, it is best to use the B button (I have experienced a Sword duel before and after clashing at least two times, I melee'd my target and kill him.  The one thing you don't want to do is try to rush toward to the target because they will always kill you.

Spiker- the first thing I notice is that these weapons can ricochet off certain surfaces so experiment with it.  For example, if an opponent is taking cover around the corner, you could try shooting at the opposite wall and make it bounce it into the target's direction, though I haven't tried this method in live combat.  I love to use the twin bayonets to slash through my target.  That pretty much it for the spiker.

Brute Shot- Like the name implies, this particular weapon is brutal and at sometimes can be uncontrollable.  It works best at short range like a hallway or if a target is jumping in the air than you can quickly take aim at him/her and let loose just don't shoot at those translucent walls or you'll kill yourself.

I hope this has been very informative to anyone who has the patience to read this all.

I'll be sure to read this a few times if I need a winning combo.

Also, I agree with you on the pistol. I find myself dual-wielding that quite a lot.
