Description
My midterm for a digital class...Four figures placed together and fully rendered in a week. I was honestly worried I might not finish it in time, what with everything else I had to work on...I'm still not sure what I got on it, yet. Hopefully there aren't too many horrible mistakes. Heh.So yeah...In the weeks prior, we had been creating characters representing the four elements - water, fire, earth, and air. They had to relate to one another, as they'd have to be put together in a final image, and the element they represent/control needed to be clear. The initial images (one full render per week) were also in limited palettes - only two base colors, in addition to black and white. I might post those later...

This was done in a week!? Wow! I love the little details you added to each character that sort of shows their element. It's like, the more I look at them, the more little things I notice that hint at their element
Fantastic job! I hope you get an A

Yeah...I think I drove myself a little bit insane, working on it. I feel like I could've and probably should've done more, but...such is life. Heh. Glad you like it, though. ^_^

No problem ^__^ love how you tied the elements together. May I ask what your story is behind it?

Since the first part of it was to come up with characters, I just started with that...I went with the fire element first, as I had an idea about how early man had mastered fire, and what it would be like if one had the ability to conjure and control it. He is the fire-starter, the leader. The woman controls the earth element, but is more attuned to rocks and crystals than plants. Then the man with the air element is a warrior, but he doesn't fight with weapons. Instead he uses his body, and the wind - he has a 'companion', a wind-based bird, which he uses in a manner similar to how hunters use hawks and falcons. Then the last one, water, is the painter, quietly powerful.
I don't know what the story of their journey is yet, as this was a mainly character-based project. It would be interesting to develop one for them, though.

That it would be. I'd definitely read it; the way you simply described it just now has already drawn me in ^__^ excellent piece
