I think I need to explain something. Devil May Cry 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. In fact, I would rank it with Persona 3 and Blazblue Continuum Shift as my 3 favorites. Sure, the story was simple, but the characters were very well written, especially Dante and Vergil!Now comes the DMC reboot. At first, I was skeptical with how Dante was being held. Still, I continued to keep in touch with the latest news, holding on to the slimmest hope that something good was going to come out of it. Then, Vergil was revealed to be in it, and when I saw his trailer one word echoed through my mind: [link]
It really does feel like Capcom's going the extra mile to alienate the series's fanbase. First they make Dante look and act like an angsty, emo teen with malnutrition, then he apparently fights a secret organization who controls the media, and NOW they turn Vergil into this stick-up-the-ass rich kid! Seriously, he looks like a character from a bad Naruto fanfic! This reboot can go to hell!
