I am entirely unsure what a "snail" is but find this funny anyway for their reactions.

It's when you do a fist bump with someone, but they put their hand underneath yours and put up two fingers so it sort of looks like a snail, where your fist is the shell.

But yeah, the first time that happened to me, I totally wasn't expecting it and it makes you feel really weird, so that's what the expressions were about. Haha.

Javert's expression looked so surprised, I thought for some reason there was a double meaning to the snail that Jean was oblivious to, but Javert saw instantly. So I went to look for the innuendo that I thought MUST have been there... I found one. ((The snail kind of looks like a penis if you look at it right))
I now understand that the snail was probably not supposed to have a double meaning... But now that I see it, Javert's reaction makes even more sense xD I guess you could look at it either way. It's funny all The same.

Haha, actually Javert's horror is all about the way it feels to get snailed. It feels very weird when you aren't expecting it. There is a little bit of a sense of betrayal in it; you were expecting a fist bump and the other person double-crossed you.Β The first time my sister did it to me, I reacted a little bit like Javert, except I wound up laughing.
But hey, I don't mind you coming up with your own interpretation. That's what art's for, I think.

Actually, in my mind, this is taking place in Heaven and Valjean is trying to call a truce. They originally had halos, but they looked dumb so I took them off.

Chet and I do something kind of like that, where we put our hand out, but instead slap the other guy's fist when he comes in for the fist bump.

My sister does this to me; it's where I learned the snail thing from. Now sometimes I make her do it because it's so cute.
