yes, i liked the fact that the eyes were off-focus, kind of makes the whole thing look dreamy: contrasts with the chain which is strong and aggressive. I like contrasts

hmm I've never taken classes or been tought anything if that's what you mean. I have worked as an assistant photographer for some months last year, but i got picked without having any training. But I've been practising on my own since then.
