Description

Since I wanted to color something red, I decided to do these two. They're 15 in this picture. Also, I know I drew Rage with pants on the other artwork but he probably only uses those in winter since he would feel really hot in any other season lol. I remind you that Rage's hair can move like a third arm, though it make move on its own as well.

Edit: As I stated in my journal entries, the design I used for Brick, as well as his powers and such are meant for the original version of the story rework. I don't have a name for Brick yet so I can't change his name in the description. However! Do know it will change later on. This also means his bio will be different from what is expected.

Important msg about my current storyTo everyone that has been reading my comic and story, seeing the changes throughout the years... I need to say that although I'm still interested on sharing my ideas with you all, I no longer feel comfortable working on them while considering them a "fanfiction/fancomic" since I'm basically doing original content that's way too different to "The powerpuff girls"Yes, the names of the characters are the ones from the cartoons but the designs, for example Brick's and Butch's (the designs they have from the covers, not their 5 year old designs) are basically mine so I think I'm limiting myself too much on what I could share as a story if I didn't have the restriction of "fan" to it. I still want to talk about the mirror world (which is basically an alternate universe) and about my boys "The Rowdyrude boys" but I want to approach this story as something that is entirely mine and can feel the freedom of adding any elements or plot points I see fit it. Thus, the powerpuff girls and the powerpunk girls will no longer be part of the story since they're not mine, nor Him nor any other character that belongs to Craig McCracken.I'll still be using the design I've been using for Brick (the one with short hair and bangs) and his sound powers which is something I gave him. Boomer's and Butch's design as shown in chapter 1, but I'm no longer going to be calling them by their cartoon names. So you may as well see them as "characters inspired by the cartoon".The Rowdyrude boys are going to be kept as they are since they are mine but I won't call them that anymore. Of course, this would also mean reworking the story. I want to expand on it and give you an entertaining/fun story to read but since I'll probably take roughly 6-7 years to finish the story as a novel and way more years as a comic, I can't keep working on "fanfiction" since it's just not feasible. I don't want to give up on the current storyline so I hope some of you can be understanding of this. Though I would love having your support, I would also understand if it puts you off and makes you want to stop reading. This is simply something I needed to do before committing to telling a long story and actually carrying it to the finish line.I'll take a bit before continuing/redoing the story since I need to rethink some stuff but it'll be back for those still interested.In any case, thanks to you all ^^...

Barricade is Rage's name, while Rage is his nickname given by Raze who couldn't say 'Barricade' properly as a baby.

Rage's element is Fire/Spirit (as he has abilities from these two), he also has a few 'Noise' abilities because of Brick. Rage’s noise abilities are more in the ‘silence manipulation’ area. He has sound nullification which renders sound based attacks useless against him.

One of his noise (silent manipulation) skills would be 'Silent lullaby' which can be used to thaw by combining it with his heat, it's a gentle/ non abrasive way of melting ice (convenient to help Rave with some freezing problems he has), it can also slightly heal others if allowed to function. (It heals slowly)

Another silent manipulation skill he has is the ability to mute others xD or create a shield in which only those he wants can speak and be heard.

When Rage is nearby or has some contact with Brick, Brick gains sound immunity and thus relief. The reason for Brick feeling discomfort from too much noise instead of having sound immunity himself will be explained in ‘Flames of a Reverie’.

Also, when Rage and Brick are on the same universe (like both being in Townsville), they have more access to the other’s power.

Now well! Regarding Brick…

He uses a slingshot as a weapon as long as he is not intending to openly use his sound powers, otherwise, he uses a megaphone that can be shapeshifted into another item like a microphone or thing sound related. (Sonokinetic construct)

Brick’s element is Noise-sound/Psychic, likewise, he has a few ‘fire’ abilities because of Rage. He has fire nullification which renders fire based attacks useless against him. (He could also put out a building on fire but would need a lot of energy from him and time)

When Brick is around Rage, Rage no longer feels bothered by the heat. Rage isn’t hurt per se by overusing fire, however, he hates the feeling of suffocation (as in walking/running for hours under the sun kind of way) and the feeling of being drenched in sweat.

Rage dislikes these two feelings so much he seldom uses his powers (though it’s always warm near him because of his natural heat radiation), so, as long as he does not use his powers too much and doesn’t turn into fire himself, he’ll be comfortable with himself. (His heat radiation would be ofc higher than a regular human’s)

When Brick is close, Rage no longer feels any discomfort from his powers. (The reason will be eventually explained as well)

An example of Brick using a fire ability besides fire nullification would be fire breath or imbuing his marbles with fire.

I may do a bio of Brick as to explain much more but, for now, his sound abilities include:
Siren song: An alluring tune that can entrance the listener to the point they hallucinate/lose their senses as they feel the need to keep listening to the tune. The listener will then be out of it for a few hours before snapping back to normal.

Siren lullaby: A modified version that works to heal others, works incredibly well and quickly, it may take time if the other person is in a critical state (It demands too much energy and may not heal completely), if the wound is nothing major, it will heal. It won’t heal things like colds/fever, poison but it will alleviate paralysis.

Note: Brick rarely uses the siren abilities cause he feels embarrassed from humming/singing, though he will if it’s really necessary.

Sound absorption: He can absorb any music, sound or noise to then use whenever he wants. Brick is always absorbing sound unless he makes a conscious effort not to, thus being one of the sources of his constant stress. (Because of this, he always looks forward to silent places and can only enjoy classical music) His discomfort is mainly for not having sound immunity. Still, even without having immunity, he has a really high threshold for his powers… Just that he rather not use them if he can afford it.

Noise marbles: He often makes noise marbles as a way to relieve the sound he has been absorbing, he then uses them later as a way to keep himself from using his sound powers.

Shrill scream: His most hated skill and one of the most deadly, he releases a high pitch scream much more potent than a sonic scream that can make potential victims faint or similar effects like stunning immediately afterwards. Because of his stress, this attack can knock him out if he is already tired from using other attacks. He may remain conscious but completely exhausted after using it in a fight though.

Sound mimicry: He can replicate any sound he hears at least once. (Including ofc people’s voices)

Language interpretation: He can decipher and communicate with others that speak a different language than his, though, because of his ‘puppy dog element’ he mostly understands and hears dogs talking, and yes, he could talk to them but he is embarrassed of it. So yeah, although he could use this ability more often, he chooses not because of his dislike of noise. (Though he has to make an effort not to understand dogs as understanding them comes as naturally as listening to other people speak lol)

Persuasion: can (vocally) command others by giving them orders to do his bidding no matter what the victim thinks or feels, though he can’t make them do what they are unable to (like flying if it’s a normal human)(Regardless of what he might think about this power and using it on other people, he is not okay with using it on his brothers)

And as a bonus, just like Rage that can turn into a kitty, Brick can turn into a puppy <3
