I like the tall and thin look, similar to the basic Vaygr design philosophy for frigates.

That's so quick reply it's spooky.
I don't have any time to make it myself, but I'm sure I'd find someone to make it for me and I could actually get it in a working mod. But only if I had a concept for a line of frigates, strikecrafts and at least a carrier. It would actually have a use in my mod.
But first this particullar concept would have to turn a lot more Homeworldy. For example colors:
-Homeworld ships are never gray. White, yellow, blueish, red on some concepts, striped and colorful. Any color of the rainbow, but not often just a steel gray.
-the antenna should have some warning colors, like yellow, red, orange.
Some design changes:
-weapons. It has arrays of small turrets. Well, ok, it might be fine, but in Homeworld it tends to be just a handful of large guns, not a bunch of small ones.
-hangar. Frigates don't tend to have them unless it's a support frigate.

I would like to correct you on this point - if I may. The ships of the Kushan are a gray/silver colour with the stripe colour being a lighter gray/silver for the default colours. I made them a dark steelish blue with light blue for stripes myself. The Taiidan ships in the campaign seem to have turned the default Kushan colours (minus the Elite Guard, who are still black).
In HW2, the Hiigaran ships are a blueish colour.

I've read what I wrote those two years ago about ships being gray and I take it back. Right now I don't see any problem with gray ships.

Well i must say that i think this ships looks a lot more like a carrier than a Frigate :/ but some changes in the desig and clour i think it would look perfect for Homeworld! btw you could tell egeusz about this
