Twin sisters again, this time from Egyptian mythology. Isis is the wife of Osiris who guards the realms of the afterlife; she herself represents motherhood and life as she gave birth to Horus, the god king who represents heaven, light, and the rebirth circle of all life. Her sister Nephthys has been married to Seth, Lord of the Underworld, who represents the damnation of souls after death. However, Nephthys was always rather close to her sister and accompanied her even when it came to actions against Seth's will.
I wanted to give them wings, but when that did not work, I made Isis' dress look a bit like there is a wing folded over it. I'm proud of the crown she's wearing! btw, the weird things on both their heads are hieroglyphes to represent their names.
