Interesting that You say that. I remember in my Fine Art school they used to tell us that if people could tell that the drawing is done by a female or a male, the person who made it was considered a bad artist.    I'm not sure how that was meant to make any sense but at least it will always make me laugh.

That is true. It can go both ways. I have seen man doing very gentle work and I have seen women doing very ''manly'' art. I believe as long as it looks good and you express yourself and put passion in what you create, that is what counts.

I've found I can often tell if an artist is male or female by the use of color. Women tend to use more subtle and just generally more variations of color than men. I think there's a biological underpinning as females, in general, see the visible spectrum in more detail than men do, genetically speaking. (For example over 80% of color-blind individuals are male.)

Sorry to so rudely interrupt, the above picture is an absolute masterpiece.

Thank you <3 And I still struggle to find difference. I always get surprised when I find out the gender of the artist according to their art. What it was assumed at my art school to be feminine art style is very colorful stuff (and using raw colors), or drawing things like flowers, fairies and generally cute or pretty things. But that is in fine arts. My teachers only liked very abstract and dark art where it shows your ''soul'' in it's darkest moments (but it's generally just poopy colors and a total mess where You don't know what is on the canvas). I feel more happy drawing what makes me happy rather than show what makes me sad. When I look at my art I want to feel good, not feel depressed.  It's much more healthy for the mind.

I wrote my initial comment without looking at your bio at all, so it seems to be quite obvious. I was refered by a direct link from a german website directly to the image.

As far as I remember, the circumstance that woman see more colours is due to evolutionary reasons. Woman had to differentiate more between different food (fruits, mushrooms, aso.), which could be potentially poisonous, while males needed to be able to recognize movement faster to spot predators. A lower resolution picture with less detail is advantagous for that purpose.

A far more on the spot focused view is the reason why men can't find the hot sauce in the fridge right in front of them, but the misses can instantly see it
