Hoooo lordy. Where do I begin?
First of all, the face. His eyes do not appear to be in any recognizable sort of socket. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but according to official art drawn by Manta-fan Rudi has normal human teeth. And a normal human neck. Frankly, the whole face/head area reminds me of Ryuk from Death Note. That's not really what I should be getting from fanart of a human character.
Second, that's not how fur looks. Fur is not a flat plane with ragged edges like a ripped sheet of newsprint. It has texture. It's fluffy, like... well, like fur. If you ever have the chance, check out a fluffy cat or dog and look at the shades and highlights in its fur. It's important to remember that fur is made up of thousands upon thousands of individual hairs, each one reflecting the light in its own way. I'm not saying you have to draw every individual hair, but you shouldn't leave the interior of the fur area blank, either.
Thirdly, this just doesn't look professional. I'm guessing you sketch in blue pencil and then ink over it. There's nothing wrong with that. However, when you leave the blue cast around the lines, it just makes the work look unfinished. Most artists fix this in Photoshop. This is a pretty simple tutorial on how to do so: [link] 
But honestly, none of this stuff is going to help you if you don't learn to draw properly. Please, if you value your art at all, take a life drawing class. Hell, you could even just draw the stuff in your room. Drawing from life is how all good artists start out. It's boring and tedious, but it has to be done.

A commission is basically paid fanart. Except it's not paid in this case, therefore it should arguably just be called fanart, but we can argue semantics later.
As for reference pics, I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, but I have seen pictures of Rudi drawn by Manta-fan, they're not THAT hard to find...
