• Wallpaper: Hinotori - ripped from scan of one of the last few pages of the manga "Phoenix: Karma" (N.F.R.)
• Icons: mix of Ecqlipse 2, APPOWS, Stefan Kanchev logotypes and other miscellaneous icons, mostly modified
• Samurize Config: self-made - N.F.R.
• Rainmeter Config suite: Enigma by ~Kaelri (modified)
• CD Art Display: APPOWS by =neiio (with slight modifications including replaced notification area icon)
• Opera skin: modified Windows Native skin (N.F.R.)
• RocketDock skin: APPOWS IN by ~requestedRerun (with fixed slant issue)
• mIRC toolbar icons: Token by ~brsev
• Reshacked Picasa photo viewer with custom icon
• Other programs used: StandAlone Stack by Chris'n'Soft
• Featuring: Hinotori by Tezuka Osamu

My entry for PixelFuckers's SSC10 contest. Took me quite a few attempts and several refinements to get everything right; the Rainmeter config was especially rough around the edges and had lot of work done on it.

If you are going to feature Japanese anime and manga in your desktop screenshot, you might as well feature the greatest work from the greatest (and the original) anime manga artist. Took me quite a while to find the source picture for the wallpaper; though I have a copy of the manga itself from where the picture originated, I have no scanner here (and even if I did, I was not willing to risk damage to it), so I had to look everywhere on the internet for scans before I finally found one.
