a serial killer is someone who has killed three or more people with the main goal of psychological gratification, and who utilises a cooling-off period over a period of time. that describes Light perfectly well. he has cooling off periods, as to not get caught. mass murderers have no cooling off period, usually kill in a single incident, and usually do not have some sort of victim-specific qualities. this therefore doesn't actually apply to Light all that well.Β
