Whoa it seemed like it's been ages since I last post anything here -- since I last post anything TLR. Not saying that I'm moving away, but school's been kinda rough the last semester and yeah yeah TL;DR I mostly post doodles on my art blog nowadays.

That is such a sweet picture... I love the sense of emotion carried through with that light, hesitant touch and that little, tired smile. Personally, I could just see this happening after Rush finds his way back after the endgame. Drabble time!
"Hey, Dave..."
Breath catching in his throat, David lifted one trembling hand to touch warm living skin, scarcely hoping to believe this was real. Not daring to break that last, fragile barrier that might prove this all a fanciful dream, David held back the stubborn prickle of tears as he was met halfway. Fingers clasped his wrist and guided his hand the rest of the way, a small tired smile growing on the face he thought he'd never see again. Composure slowly crumbling under the tangled knot of relief, joy and the fear that this somehow wouldn't last, the tears began falling. Foreheads touching, David's shoulders trembled under the force of his emotions, torn between laughter and sobs.
"Oh Dave, I'm sorry I took so long to get back. You don't need to worry, I'm here for good now... C'mon, you don't need to cry over me or I'll get teary eyed too..."
I could just see this picture on livejournal being the logical conclusion to this scene. ;D

This is late, but really thank you for the sweet comment and the drabble! :'D --haha it's amazing how we have almost the same headcanon for the return scene! With David being hesitant at first after countless dreams that ended almost too fast with pain that just lasts. And him holding back the tears and Rush just be.. well, Rush. And then they'd awkwardly laugh together... aksdjhalkg I can spazz forever just at the mention of this couple. ;_;
