Nice work, I love the color you picked for her hair. The background isn't that bad, but the shade of yellow/green isn't the best choice. Also, the magic wand tool is definitely not your best friend when coloring. The pen tool or brushes are always your best bet to avoid jaggies and white spots. There are also several techniques that deal with coloring "over" your lineart, the most popular one (for Photoshop users) involves setting your line art layer to multiply, then creating a new layer and brushing over it... almost eliminating the need for absolute precision.
