To be perfectly honest, even though I love animation, I’ve so far haven’t found any appeal or temptation to go see the How To Train Your Dragon movies yet. Were you to push me for a reason, I’d probably wouldn’t be able to give one... Maybe it’s because it’s slipped through the gaps and I haven’t really had it high in my priorities, but that’s likely just a lame excuse.
Regardless though, your ability to draw characters and backgrounds shines through immensely here. There’s a lot to love about this casual Sunday flight with the great level of details for just about everything, especially the eyes, the scales on his head, and the night sky. The 2D and 3D work on display mixes wonderfully to create a quality tribute.
I have to say I find the entire thing real impressive, and more than deserving of a spot in my “Honorary Class” collection, whatever that means to you. As far as character tributes go, this is in a rare class of its own, and a brilliant use of colours, shaping and other details to really give Toothless a lease on life. Much like the dragon depicted here, you’ve went above and beyond… Awesome work!

You damn well ought to be happy; that kind of effort and result is something I'd LOVE to have if I were any kind of traditional or digital artist.
