Posthuman Development Concordium “The Fourth Order”
    Recreating human society from the ground up and quite violently too. The Concordium was created to spread wealth and prosperity across the universe but through greedy and power hungry rulers this dream soon died. Poor nations were once resubstrated to facilitate wealth and energy efficiency. Automated factories and mental augmentation once brought humanity freedom from scarcity and biology. Now resubstratement is a catastrophic event for a nation, usually leading to ego death and mass suicide or mental coruption. BCI’s (brain computer interfaces) are held by corrupt rulers to control their people’s egos and enslave them. Constant cyber attacks are used to divide the nations of men into barbaric paranoid mimics of modern nations.

Sahara Region
    The Sahara was terraformed in the late second millennium. Rising sea levels disrupted the artificial ecosystem and returned much of the Sahara to the desert. Only now is Libya reforming the savannah and tropics.

Federation of Grand Aeropa
    Most urbanized nation on Earth with cities stretching from Laayoune to Tunis. Fear over the strained bureaucracy led to the Caliph of Tunis installing an invasive angelnet across Aeropa. Near-basehumans make up most of the population but only exist in government as figureheads.

Europe
Western europe is dominated by muslim French and large Moroccan minorities. Eternal Erde has destroyed any semblance of culture that doesn’t serve the state. Slavic culture on Earth died when mass ego death was facilitated by the Christendom for better soldiers. In the Italian peninsula sits the future leader of the human race, Vistellya Papal. Titus Vistellus wages his eternal war of attrition against the posthumans.

East Asia
Nirvana and the East Asian Noosphere have completely transformed the landscape. Unending computing facilities, cooling pipes, and processing arcologies make up the most powerful posthumans in the universe. East Asia plans to build a matrioshka brain in the Kuiper belt. Whatever spawns from such a massive centralized computer is unknown. Nirvana is governed by the collective of it’s people’s egos embodied in the AI Anatta. Salvation states are being converted to Buddhism through biologically implemented, Anatta controlled utility gel.

SE Asia and Australia
In the mid fourth millenia this region was bombarded with nuclear and chemical weapons. Most survivors died off afterwards or were resubstrated by the Concordium.
Sumatra and Aushterasia are currently in a proxy war to prove who can be the most imperialist.

West Africa
Transhumanism has prospered in this region. Quality of life is high enough that most people spend their time socializing and learning, making West Africa very wealthy and culturally prosperous.

Low Earth Orbit (LEO)
Orbital rings, Lofstrom loops, dockyards, and space habitats house trillions upon trillions of souls. Continent sized slabs of metal rest upon numerous major orbital rings, relics of a matryoshka shell world that was never finished. Many basehuman and near-basehuman Factions exist on these relics, severed from their earthly homeland. Leonesian 0g habitats dominate the scene, sometimes blotting out the sun as they migrate across their orbital path. Neogreeks have some hollow 0g asteroid habitats and orbital ring cities built in ancient Greek architecture. East Asia has turned the remaining near Earth asteroids into a massive cohesive computer system, like a miniature matryoshka brain.
