..FOOOOOTTLLOOOOONGit had to be said. Ya sorry, I have to have some kind of excitement in my life. I haven't been all that active lately, so something from my work on DM then? (all those notes are mostly directed toward my partner in crime ~theanimejump )
So anyways. Concept work on Rubee's chef uniform for the part-time food stall (her baby) she has at DM headquarter's food court. Since she's actually an avatar of me, I figure things aughta be accurate - her food stinks. Real bad. But it's a labor of love. And she's quite oblivious to the true nature of her cooking, and no one cares to tell.

True, but it just seems like certain people are able to understand proportions a lot easier than others. I can picture it in my head how it looks, and i can draw certain aspects of my artwork how I envisioned it, but when it boils down to putting it all together I can't get the hang of it D:

That's true, I'm sure. But of course each person has their own circumstances. I had a mother very artistically inclined and so I was able to learn the fundamentals when I was at a young age. Alllll about circumstance.
Actually, I hated not being able to transfer things the way I saw them in my head. I thought of making a machine one day that would transfer all of my thoughts and images in my brain directly to paper! 8D
And then... reality set in...

Well you are very lucky to have had a mother so great as she. No one in my family cares too much about art, and so I am the only one that ever picks up a pencil and tries to jot down their ideas. I will always envy those who were fortunate to be in such said circumstances, but even those who are not in that situation I still envy because they grasp things more quickly or understand things that they see a lot better than others. But no doubt I admire everyone just the same, it's just...I wish I could just sit down with one of these people and we could both draw together, that way I might be able to pick up a few things.
And I too had an idea for a machine. The machine would record your dreams and burn them to a CD for later viewing

Don't get disheartened. Everyone has their own pace - there was a time I tried to make myself develop faster, but I think it really didn't help. Discouraged me more like. X'D Some people just breeze right on through and grasp anything they learn. Some take a lot of time with their efforts and have to go over things often. Others give up completely. XD But it's not the pace at which you learn that you should be worried about it, my friend. It's more about: What can I do to improve what I see needs tweaking in my work and work at it in the pace I know I take?
Like for me, I STUNK at backgrounds. Royally. For a long time I just gave up and grovelled in the misery of the non-exsistant skills in me. That is, until I was forced to do something. It stunk. Royally. But I tried a bit more and drew landscapes more, soaked up a lot of the wonderful conceptual scapes on DA and flew at it. Now, presently, I'm still not great at backgrounds, but I'm no longer afraid of them. Once you kind of accept your own unique pace then it gets a lot easier to work with ^^

Lol you seem to have been pretty busy to just replying now. No biggie.
You speak the truth ma'lady. Right now I'm really focusing on female anatomy and anatomy in general (but mostly females) and realism. I'm gettin' a tad better, but I'm also learning to take my time. Thank you for these wise words :] More help than you know.

Do you need any help? I was putting together a tutorial for how I go about my anatomy and I found a bundle of great pictures and helpful tutorials. And yes, patience and erasers are key ^^ I'm glad I'm of some assistance to you!

oooh..so cute..the costume is like puffy..hahahah..what if i have a costume like that while cooking..maybe the costume will be stained everywhere, specially the puffy parts..hahaha..spagetti sauce for example..hahaha

probably charred at the sleeves from catching fire by the burners. It's really the most impractical of all cooking wear. Spaghetti stains are a necessity!

ahahah..being caught in a fire because of the costume..never ever use the costume in actual cooking, just use it in cosplaying..hahahaha..but then, i really want that costume..hahah..and wear it going to the mall, park etc..to attract attention..hahaha..
