this is awesome. I was reading the explanation of how you manipulated the colors over and over again (color correction etc) doing this several times,, does that messes up the image quality by any chance?
things like color correction or replace color or hue saturation,,

good question. it does compromise the colour slightly and doing these kinds of heavy manipulations can create banding if not done carefully. but i try to watch for it and back off on the extremety of the settings if i see any compromise to the quality.

hey man thanks for the question. it was kind of an arduous process. the shot is just normal warm strobes, but then what i did was multiplied back ontop the green channel of the colour image and did basic colour corrections in photoshop using >color balance. then i do all of my other tweeks to colour in > selective colour. I played with warm looks and then went cooler and more metalic. I take every slider there's probably about 30 i'd say.. and i just scrub back and forth on them over and over, then move to the next one and i try to watch how the slider changes the feel. of the image. then when i get a look I figure out which colours look off. for instance in this one, i achieved this exact look but there was a false turgoise green in the highlights so i went in an did a magic wand so that selective colour would only work on that so that I could suppress the turqouise ugly hue. i think the process is not so much about nailing the sliders down to a preset to get this type of blue, it's about really watching the picture closely to see how changing the red hue of the ground will affect the way her body is percieved etc.

he he, hey man. you know what, i re-read that explenation I wrote you, and I don't think it's a language barrier from english to french. I think it's because I wrote it like a retard. It makes no sense! It's so hard to explain in typing maybe if you ever try to colour a picture like that I can send you a photoshop flyer with all of the layers and settings in it.
