Funny thing is, bulls are color blind. It's the motion of the cape waving around that gets them to charge. Kind of a "hey, that's not supposed to be here and this place is mine, so get out!"

I don't want to ruin the joke, but did you know that the red colour of a cape is not the reason why bulls get so angry?
It's how the cape moves. That's why a matador waves it around; to aggravate the bull.
A matador could be waving around a blue cape and it would still get the bull to chase him.
